About Us

Noddfa Evangelical Church is an English speaking independent Evangelical Baptist church based in Pontarddulais, Swansea. It was founded in 1970 and our congregation is made up of both men and women, boys and girls of all ages and we extended a very warm welcome for all to join us in our weekly services.

Although we are an English speaking church a number of our congregation and friends in the locality are Welsh speakers and therefore we hold a Welsh language meeting on the third Thursday of every month.

The name of our church 'Noddfa' translates from Welsh into 'Refuge'.  This is what we as a church long for Noddfa to be for everyone. As Psalm 46 v 1 says “God is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble.” Or as it translates in Welsh, “Duw sydd Noddfa a nerth i ni, cymorth hawdd ei gael mewn cyfngder.”

In April 2019, Eifion Perkins was appointed as the Pastor of Noddfa.  He is supported by our Deacon Andrew Miles.  Together they are responsible for the oversight of the church, although other members serve the church by helping and leading in different church activities.
